About Rutgers - Camden

Rutgers -Camden is consistently ranked among the nation's top regional universities. Its 5,400 students enjoy a small college atmosphere where personal attention is a key part of the educational experience. It is a vibrant intellectual community located on a tree-lined 40-acre campus in the heart of the metropolitan Philadelphia region.

During the past decade, Rutgers-Camden faculty have authored and/or edited more than 125 books and advanced the campus' reputation for scholarship and research. A large number of faculty have published books with such leading publishing houses as Cambridge and Oxford. Rutgers-Camden offers 34 undergraduate majors, 13 graduate programs, an Honors College, and exceptional internship and clinical programs. The campus is located in the transportation hub of southern New Jersey, directly across the Delaware River from center-city Philadelphia. Numerous highways and the PATCO High-Speed Line provide quick, dependable access to the urban campus. Rutgers-Camden is located in the heart of the vibrant Camden Waterfront, which attracts more than three million visitors annually, so students can visit the nearby Camden waterfront, the New Jersey Aquarium, explore the Battleship New Jersey, or catch a show at the Tweeter Center at the Waterfront. In addition, the many cultural and sports venues of Philadelphia are just minutes away.
